Mason was born and raised in Seattle, and although his career is based here, he has had the opportunity to travel and tattoo doing guest spots throughout the United States in California, Texas, Colorado, Florida, and New York. In 2015 he began making regular trips to Austin, TX. to get tattooed by Jason Brooks at Great Wave Tattoo; which was a pivotal point in his career, allowing him the ability to glean first hand inspiration from his favorite tattooers and mentors.

Mason Montgomery has been tattooing since 2012, with a heavy focus on the foundations of traditional Japanese and Americana imagery, spanning back to the beginning of his career.

Working at Moonlight Tattoo is a dream come true for Mason, and you can find him there five days a week exhibiting an excitement and love for tattooing that is fueled by his trusting clients, and an inherent desire to push the boundaries of his tattooing.
